CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Therapy Group of Charlotte is pleased to announce the addition of Mary Johnson, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, to its growing clinical team. Mary brings a strong focus on building confidence, fostering self-reflection, and providing judgment-free support to both young people and adults in the Charlotte area.
Mary Johnson is dedicated to helping her clients feel seen, safe, and understood. Her core goal is to empower clients to navigate life’s challenges by building essential confidence and skills within a trusting therapeutic relationship. While she holds a particular passion for supporting children and adolescents through pivotal stages of life, she also works closely with young adults and adults who strive for meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Mary’s therapeutic approach is fundamentally client-centered. In her sessions, the client is in charge, setting the agenda for discussion while Mary provides a listening ear and gentle guidance. She believes that the most powerful growth occurs through reflection and self-discovery in a safe and supportive environment. Her impressive educational background, including an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, ensures her methods are both empathetic and clinically sound.
