Evlo’s “Financial Freedom for Everyone” Campaign Featured as Opening Case Study in FLA’s Credit Impact Report 2026

LONDON, United Kingdom, November 3, 2026 (EZ Newswire) — Evlo, the UK personal loan provider with a focus on financial inclusion, has had its “Financial Freedom for Everyone” campaign featured as the opening case study in the Finance & Leasing Association’s (FLA) Credit Impact Report 2026, published this week.

The report, the first of its kind from the FLA, looks at the role responsible credit plays in supporting opportunity, financial resilience and inclusion across the UK. It argues that public debate tends to focus on debt and the risks of borrowing, and overlooks what people lose when they cannot access credit responsibly: a reliable car to get to work, the means to improve a home, or a way to spread the cost of essential purchases.

The FLA sets out three priorities for the sector over the next decade: recognising the value of responsible credit alongside strong consumer protection, enabling responsible innovation in products and technology, and improving outcomes for people who are declined credit. Evlo’s campaign is presented as the first in a series of case studies showing positive change from across the sector.

“Financial Freedom for Everyone” calls for a fairer and more inclusive credit system. Its central ask is for rental payment data to count towards credit scores, so that the 20.2 million UK adults the campaign identifies as financially underserved, and the 5.6 million with no credit history at all, can build a credit profile from the payments they already make every month.

In October 2025, Evlo led a coalition of financial services organisations and consumer groups in a formal representation to HM Treasury ahead of the Autumn Budget. Since then the campaign has moved from lobbying to practical delivery: Evlo has partnered with rent-reporting platform CreditLadder to help renters strengthen their credit files, and has become the first commercial lender to roll out Moneyline’s MoneyToolkit, which signposts customers who are declined credit to relevant support rather than leaving them with nowhere to turn.

Sam Foster, Head of Marketing & Comms at Evlo, said: “We’re proud to see ‘Financial Freedom for Everyone’ featured in the FLA’s first Credit Impact Report, and particularly pleased that it was chosen as the opening case study. The report makes the case that responsible credit is part of how people get on in life, and that is exactly what the campaign is about.”

“Recognition like this keeps financial inclusion firmly on the agenda. It also shows what the sector can achieve when organisations work together to deliver better outcomes for customers. We’re grateful to the FLA for its continued support of the campaign and for featuring our work so prominently.”
